To use simply place the nib and front section of the pen into the rubber gasket so it locks then turn the pen upside down, inverting the nib in ink. Next plunge the piston and the excess pressure will fill the pen nicely. It is recommended to only fill it two-thirds full to prevent pressure leakage. Take care not to start the vacuum or piston mechanism whilst the pen is fitted to the inkwell.
